RTAF UAV Team Holds Strategic Meetings for SUAS 2025

MAR 7, 2025

🔥Intensive Preparations Set for May to June✈️

As the Student Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) 2025 competition draws near, our team is entering a crucial stage of development. The months of May and June mark the final preparation window, and we are shifting into a more intensive and focused operational phase.

Over the past few months, we have made steady progress in all technical domains—from system integration and autonomous flight testing to payload configuration and target recognition. Now, with the competition fast approaching, our efforts are concentrated on detailed mission planning for each pass to ensure every component of the system performs reliably and effectively under real competition conditions.

Each specialized team—flight systems, navigation, computer vision, communication, and ground control—is working closely to define and refine their respective roles during the mission. These preparations are not only technical but also strategic: we aim to simulate realistic mission scenarios and anticipate potential challenges that may arise during the actual event.

Key priorities for May–June include:

• Finalizing flight mission scripts and rehearsals

• Stress-testing hardware and software systems

• Coordinating inter-team communication protocols

• Conducting full-system integration tests

• Reviewing safety procedures and competition rules

This is a high-intensity period and will demand extra effort from everyone involved. The next few weeks are vital for identifying final improvements and ensuring that our system is ready for field deployment. Every detail matters now—whether it’s mission planning accuracy, system stability, or team readiness.

We encourage all members to stay proactive, support each other, and remain fully engaged. Let’s make the most of this time and showcase our capabilities at SUAS 2025 with confidence and pride.
